True… There aren’t many uses for aborted fetuses so no mass production.
I hate the media in this country. They have a gift in the 1st Amendment and squander it on nonsense.
Which comes first? Anxiety over the “Fiscal Cliff” or Incessant coverage of the Fiscal Cliff, complete with DIRE PREDICTIONS, Prognostications about motivations?
We just got through coverage of the election which was filled with bad predictions, round the clock polls, coverage about polls, polls about polls and endless chatter by “Pundits” about what the “Average American” was thinking.
The Fiscal Cliff hysteria is broken up by the bloviating of the same pundits and their reductio ad absurdum of the results of the election. Women, Minorities, Young People are now a Coalition that can be lumped together as the opposition to Angry White Men. If you are latin you are either a Cuban American or you are a Hispanic… and on it goes.
Congress isn’t even in session - we have been subjected to Briefings by the POTUS, John Boehner all followed by hours of having the words said dissected. Seriously? on FoxNews you hear that the President’s victory is not a victory and that he must do what the House says and on MSNBC over an hour was devoted to picking apart what John Boehner meant… is he talking in code?
I’m done with the news. I am not watching MSNBC, FoxNews, CNN or CurrenTV. No more listening to the same ridiculous people wasting space and air spewing their opinions that seem to be based on one dimensional characterizations of who we are as people. The dumbing down begins with our media - and ends with a segment of our electorate/society that is incapable of actually making an informed decision.
End result: Panic and Anxiety and fodder for Pundits to discuss how anxious Americans are about the impending doom that is falling off the Fiscal Cliff. A term that was coined months ago that has nothing to do with the facts. But it sounds serious and it sounds scary so it will be beaten into our heads until as usual, our amygdalas are thumping and we react irrationally.
Here’s my prognostication:
The media will cover the Fiscal Cliff and all the dire consequences. People will be afraid to shop during the Xmas season and sales will be down. The media will see that as a sign that PEOPLE ARE REALLY AFRAID OF THE ECONOMY GOING OVER THE FISCAL CLIFF and will ramp up the coverage.
